Va-Lita is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a behavioral therapist at Brightline.
Va-Lita lives in Aventura, Florida, and enjoys traveling (especially cruising), watching cooking and home improvement channels, and catching up on her sleep.
Va-Lita’s career in mental health began in 2006, when she began working in Florida’s child welfare system. Wanting to make a more substantial impact when working with children and their families, she became a LMHC.
Va-Lita now has over 15 years of experience in trauma-informed care and other evidence-based models. She has worked with young children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and elderly populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Va-Lita has offered support for concerns that include anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, and traumatic experiences.
