Meet Salma

Salma Abdou
Behavioral Therapist

Salma is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a behavioral therapist at Brightline.

Salma lives in Brooklyn, New York and enjoys driving, reading, yoga, and meditation.

Salma has offered support to various populations ranging from children to geriatrics. She’s found that working with children and adolescents leaves room for more creative therapeutic techniques such as art therapy, play therapy, and role playing, all of which are important components of treatment plans.

Salma feels that therapy is a special opportunity that allows an individual to change in oneself, strive for self-acceptance, and overcome difficult emotions. She works to create a safe, supportive, comfortable, and confidential environment where individuals are able to feel attentively heard and deeply understood.

Salma has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University.
