Octavio Hernandez, LCSW
Octavio Hernandez is a bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Clinical Social Worker and behavioral therapist at Brightline. He has over 12 years of experience working with children, teens, and families in community agencies, private practice, and schools.
Octavio lives in South Gate, Calif., and enjoys playing basketball, sketching, listening to music, and watching Netflix with his wife.
As a husband and a father of two young children, Octavio is aware of the challenges we go through in life because of the many roles we take on. His experience includes providing services to people facing problems like depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, anger, and parenting issues. He enjoys using music and art in his sessions to help address difficult topics.
Octavio has helped families through the Department of Children & Families Services, foster care system, and Victims Of Crime programs. He is certified in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) and has extensive experience working in the Birth to Five Field.
Octavio earned his Master of Arts in Social Work from California State University Los Angeles.
