Behavioral Health Coach
Maria is a behavioral health coach at Brightline.
Maria lives in Havelock, North Carolina, and enjoys writing, rollerblading, listening to podcasts, and going on nature walks.
Maria has worked with kids, teens, families, and adults at a mental health clinic, a local government agency that manages mental health services, and psychiatric residential treatment facilities. She truly enjoys educating teens and families about evidence-based solutions for changing their thoughts, feelings, and responses to hard situations. She also enjoys developing coping skills so her clients can have better mental health and relationships.
Maria’s areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, abuse-related trauma, multicultural challenges, parenting issues, and building self-confidence. She is especially interested in increasing access to evidence-based, culturally responsive, and inclusive care.
Maria has a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University and a Master’s in Psychology Counseling from InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico.
