David Grodberg, MD MS
Board Certified Psychiatrist & Chief Psychiatric Officer
David is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and Brightline’s Chief Psychiatric Officer. He has over 20 years of clinical experience providing evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and their families across many conditions and levels of care.
David is currently a faculty member at the Yale School of Medicine and served as medical director of the Yale Child Study Center Outpatient Clinic. Among his many contributions to the field, David developed the Autism Mental Status Exam (AMSE), which is a brief and free diagnostic assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder used globally. Much of his work at Yale has focused on using technology to improve the way pediatric behavioral health care is delivered.
David went to medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center. He received an NIH-sponsored National Research Service Award (T32), a career development award (KL2), and foundation support for his clinical research.
David and his family live in New Haven, CT, where they enjoy pizza, sports and hiking.
